Re: The Room (spoilers!)
I read the article in the magazine. Basically everything the guy claims he was hired to do are within the reasonable standards of what a director who also appears on-screen would ask of his crew.
If Wiseau wasn't on-screen "talent" I might see him having a case but Wiseau delegated certain things to him based on the fact that he was in front of the camera(s) doing his attempt at acting.
Considering the fact that this guy's idea of directing is saying "action" and "cut" he probably has even less of a future than Wiseau does.

Re: The Room (spoilers!)
So... my wife jokingly suggested that I make a trailer (more like a music video, really...) for The Room using the song "The Funeral" by Band of Horses.
I was bored tonight, so... voila.
I make no claims about mad editing skillz. Watch it before Tommy Wiseau has it pulled.

Alright... second try. It's really not very good. I was bored.
It's more of a music video than a trailer.
I fully admit to my lack of editing skills.
I showed it to my wife, and she said "It almost makes the movie look good... but it's too long." I don't disagree.

Re: The Room (spoilers!)
Had to love this from the E Street Cinema twitter (the big art house theater in DC)
As some of you may already be aware, this weekend is THE ROOM weekend. We've moved it to our biggest auditorium, but it still may sell out.

Juliette Danielle, who played Lisa in the film, has done an IAmA on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comment...from_the_room/
It's pretty spectacular.

Well, except for learning that she won't watch the Rifftrax of The Room because she heard that they refer to her as a "bloated Britney Spears".

I finally saw The Room for the first time this weekend at a local theater. It was definately fun, and laughed at what makes this movie so bad, and thought it made no fucking sense.

Despite the bad filmmaking and acting, some of the behavior and emotions are actually a little more true to life than a lot of movies.
A lot of movies try too hard to make sense. Too neat and tidy. Real life is weirder and messier. People constantly changing their mind/repetitiveness, etc.

Re: The Room (spoon!)
I want to watch this, but I can't find it available to stream anywhere and the rental stores where I live don't have it. I guess the only way to watch it is to buy the dvd?

3D Blu-ray rental has the Blu-ray to rent for $7.99. I've used the service before and it works fine:

This is just speculation, but maybe there will be an version of The Disaster Artist on home video that will include it as a "bonus"
