The Naïveté In You (when watching a movie)

When I first saw The Color of Money, I totally misunderstood this one scene until years later:

Paul Newman is in the bar, where he's first observing Tom Cruise playing pool. Newman's former protégé, John Turturro, comes out of the men's room and approaches Newman.

When Newman sees him, he looks away in disgust and says, Why don't you look in the mirror. I hate that shit! Turturro smiles and wipes at his nose.

I always thought it was a booger in his nose. It was really cocaine around the nostrils.
