They have a really great janitorial union in Gondor.

Well maybe you ahould go watch it again because they didnt show the hand that had the finger bitten off. Read the rest of this bulletin and youll see that im not the only one who thinks this

In the Extended Two Towers it is established that Merry and Pippin have grown in size (and presumably strength.) This is the explanation in the book on why they're actually able to do some damage on the battlefield.

If you read the TT then you will know why Merry and Pippin appear to have grown in size. They drank some of the magical water from Treebeard and it made them grow taller

Thoughts?

that'll be fixed when the houses of Healing part is added in the EE. there was some time between the battle and the march to the gate. during which everyone got a chance to heal up, especially Merry, Faramir, and Eyowen

having just read the book, they leave a few days later. and having just seen the film for the 3rd time, there ARE remnants of the battle remaining. not many bodies, but mostly siege towers.

Where does Shelob stuck its sting when it attacks Frodo? If it's on Frodo's chest, shouldn't Frodo would be all right since he has Bilbo's armor?

this has been answered in length elsewhere, but in the book, he gets stabbed in the neck, so the mithril would NOT protect him there.

however, in the movie, it appears to sting him lower, perhaps in the leg.

When the are back in the tavern, and they are having their drinks, Frodo's left hand is on the table, with his fingers tucked under. You can see the enlarged knuckle and the the scar.

I paid attention to it when I saw it the second time. Its (not) there.

Strange, isn't it?
