Looks like I spoke too soon as the film did pull in $14 mill
and it didn't cost very much (at least for a kevin costner picture)
So, here's to not flopping, Kevin!.

That is a great point. This article talks about how much of a killing is being made off of DVD's.

Well looks like Freddy vs. Jason pulled in an estimated $36.4 million!! WOW!! And with very little competition in the next couple of weeks, this movie could stay atop the charts for a while. Glad to see the love for gratutious violence and nudity.

By comparison, the last really good western, Unforgiven, had an opening weekend of $15,018,007 and ended it's run with $101 million. Hope Open Range can keep building!
