What movies changed their titles AFTER they started advertising?
I'm wondering what movies have changed their titles, but after things such as trailers had started running with the original title?
The ones I can think of are Joe Dirt, which when the trailer was released was known as "The Adventures of Joe Dirt".
The 13th Warrior had a trailer released when it was under the title "Eaters of the Dead".
Hard Rain had a trailer released a year before the film was actually released when it was under the title "The Flood".
Anyone know any others?

Gigli changed to something and then changed back
The Madness of King George II was changed to the Madness of King George after American audiences (allegedly) thought it was a sequel.
I still don't understand what hapenned with League.
Isn't Underworld undergoing a title change?
I believe, Field of Dreams was briefly marketed as Shoeless Joe (I have seen promo material under this name).

Gigli was changed to Tough Love for a bit, then changed back.
X2 was originally X-Men 2 and for a while was marketed as such.
I seem to remember Charlies Angels: Full Throttle originally being touted as Charlies Angels: Halo.
And as for LXG? Well the only explanation I can offer is that LXG is a whole lot easier to remember than The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen. What 13 year old could remember that?

Pirates Of The Carribean added the 'The Curse Of The Black Pearl' a shot while ago.

In the trailer, it was called Blood in...Blood Out.
It's theatrical release was re-titled, Bound by Honor.
The video/cable release was called Blood in...Blood Out:Bound By Honor.

The new movie staring The Rock, called The Rundown, used to be called Helldorado before a name change just because of the word "hell" in the title.

I knew it was the early title to a movie, don't know why I connected it to Helldorado.

Not that it was advertised or anything, but the Stallone flick D-Tox was changed to Eye See You. Both titles are lame as hell, but I think the former is the lesser of two evils.

doing a film version of the excellent Graham Joyce book of the same name.
I know i bought a vhs copy of I come in Peace around seven years ago. And the opening title had the original title "Dark Angel". And it was on showtime the other day as "Dark Angel".

Yes, Miramax orginally planned on renaming the film "Kung Fu Soccer" because they didn't think that Americans would know what Shaolin means. They then went against general Disney policy and decided to give the American public credit for actually having some intelligence.
