the wonderful Trespass was called Looters in promotional material.
then came the LA riots...

I believe Disney's upcoming Brother Bear was changed from Brother Bear to Bears, and back to Brother Bear. I saw a teaser poster somewhere...

Also Final Destination was originally Flight 180. Don't know if any marketing material was made prior to the change though.

I remember E.T. and seeing the poster as E.T THE EXTRA TERESTIAL AND HIS ADVENTURES ON EARTH.

Then someone came along and said "terestial? what's a terestial?" so they changed it.
