Terminator VS A Blonde

This chick in my class made a bet with me...she said that Legally Blonde would reap in a bigger box office draw this 'weekend' because women would make their boyfriends go see it with them. I said, bullshiznit, I would never go to see something like LB:RW&B when a movie like T3 was in the theatres, regardless of the circumstances, and that may be why I'm single.

Anyway, we made a bet, and I wondered what the real consensus was...In that situation...what would happen?

I probably won't see either in the theater, but I picked T3. I didn't really have any desire to see it, but early reviews look promising.

Will you be first in line for LB if that chick says she'll bring her hot friend over tonight and have a orgy w/ you?

If I had a girl, I would make sure she didn't want to see LB2.

T3 hands down! I don't know what MGM is thinking, releasing LB2 against the terminator. Even my wife (who enjoyed the first Legally Blonde) would rather go see Rise of the Machines.

I have a feeling that LB2 is going to roll over and die in the Terminator's tracks.

There's no doubt Terminator 3 will dominate the box office this weekend. A sequel to one of the most popular franchises versus Legally Blonde? Though, I do think MGM made a smart move opening this movie against T3 as it stands as great counter programming. Not to mention over a five day weekend, it is possible to see two movies. or so I heard.

so what's the bet, loser buys the winnder dinner? if you were a girl and a guy asked yo to make this bet it would seem like he is picking up on you, maybe she is and you don't know it? (could be another reason you're single, you dont get the hints)

Even if I had the hottest GF in my town, I still wouldnt waste $7.50 on that peice of crap LB2. T3 is a much more important movie and people have been wanting to see it for 12 years. T3 it is.

Have you seen the great LB2 commercial that spoofs T3. Its actually pretty funny, with Reese saying "I'll be Back."

Well, I hope you win dude since they are probably going to group the Tuesday sneak previews with the Wednesday opening day. I think T3 for its curiosity factor alone.

So, is this bet for the Wednesday-Sunday take or just opening day or Wednesday-Thursday? What's the deal?

I'll see both. I thought the first Legally Blonde was pretty funny.

I actully liked the first Legally Blonde, I have the DVD, but the sequel... It looks pathetic. The trailer's like a note by note rehash of the first film. Sure they moved the setting, but they recycle the exact same struggle of the first one. Poor L gets no respect... but wasn't she the star of her Harvard class, with a highly publicised court victory? In the very least she would be a media darling, and wouldn't be so easy to dismiss. What's worse, there are several better directions they could've gone with a sequel. I think it would've been much more interesting to see Elle start up her own offbeat law firm, and the struggle could be finding clients willing to look beyond the surface and trust her.

I think its actually pretty lame that they have to bite off of the T3 name.

As to the original question...
