New Jersey Man Pleads Guilty to Bootlegging 'The Hulk'

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...hulk_bootleg_3

A New Jersey man pleaded guilty Wednesday to making a bootleg copy of the action film "The Hulk" and posting it on the Internet before the movie was released in theaters. Kerry Gonzalez, 24, of Hamilton, N.J., faces six months to a year in prison when he is sentenced Sept. 26. He pleaded guilty to a single count of copyright infringement. Officials at Universal Studios, which produced the film, alerted the FBI in early June when the pirated copy of the movie began circulating online.

Looks like the movie studios are starting to protect their product. I think it is long overdue. I remember a teen tried to sell me a copy of Spiderman on DVD the week it came out in the movie theater. I ask him if he knew it was illegal to sell something that did not belong to him. He said it was not illegal because Spiderman had already made enough money worldwide.

I do wedding photos and I would be upset if people used my art/product and sold it with asking me. It is my work not theirs.

Hollywood should work with the goverments of countries like Malaysia, Philippines where bootlegs are sold everywhere. I've seen DVD and VCD bootlegs of films before they were released on the home entertainment format.

OMG. I'd hate to do time for such a stinker of a movie. I'd like to get caught for a Spielberg film or maybe a really rough cut of episode 3.
