HULK, would you take your kids to see it?

I was aksed if HULK was appropriate for kids, and I said no way to this. My answer was met with some disbelief though since it is a familiar comic book character.

We all expected this to be a violent film I think, and some parents are willing to take their kids to a violent movie, but I believe that...

Spoiler:
the scene in which David (NOLTE)Banner tries to murder his own child and ends up stabbing his wife would scare the holy hell out of most kids, maybe even emotionally scar them as well

...not to mention the dog attack scene, which we all know about and I am sure may be too intense for most kids.

Did you take your kid? Were there any kids in the theater when you went? How did they react?

The showing I went to at 10:45 on Saturday morning had a ton of kids. I think it might have scared them and bored them. I liked the movie but the mood walking out did seem to be excitement from anyone.

I had intended to take my son (4) but he didn't want to go. I'm glad though. Not just because of the mild violence but the story just would not have kept his attention.

I think most kids under 10 wouldn't like it anyway since it's about 2 hours 15 minutes and it's not all action.

Kids in my theatre all had ants in their pants because NOTHING exciting, storywise or action wise, happens for almost an hour into the film but subdued acting and hardly any music, only when the HULK was onscreen did the brats behave and paid attention to the movie.

I suppose it would depend on how much trouble he was in.

I would not have a problem showing the film to my little kids, but I agree that they would have a hard time sitting through the plot development and the character-based storytelling. I'll probably wait until the DVD comes out and then just skip to the HULK scenes.

What I always do as a parent is view anything greater than PG
first. Then make a decision based on what you know about your
own kids. Everyones different, even kids. The second time I saw
this there were kids that were excited to be there, and there
were others that were bored. You know your kids, so take a look
see first and decide if it's their bag or not.

you think this movie can emotionally scar a kid? C'mon... I think most of the movie is way over kids' heads, they probably don't understand that the mother was murdered by the father.

In my opinion, this movie is too complicated and too violent for children under 10. There were A LOT of children at the showing I went too; lots of them were under 4 years old. Why parents bring their 5 year olds to a PG-13 movie, I'll never know.
