Could I call it a "suspension of disbelief"?

Frequency. Love it though.

"The Net" with Sandra Bullock. "War Games" was more realistic.

Blind Date. After Basinger has ruined Willis' life in one first-date evening, he somehow cares enough for/about her to pursue her?

I just saw Charlie Goose's post. My apologies to ncmojo, I had no idea "Credulity" was a real word, but rather just a horrible misspelling of "Credibility." D'oh!

Any movie that involves amnesia. It just doesn't happen. Now, you can have "retrograde amensia" which is where new memories can't be formed as the result of head trauma (like Princess Diana's chaufer after the car crash). Memento uses this type of amnesia to a degree that would be medically unlikely, but possible in theory. You can also have psychogenic amnesia where you force yourself to forget a particularly painful memory. But the classic movie/ tv variety of amnesia, where you don't know who you are or where you came from, that can not happen and is a very, very tired cliche (though I enjoyed The Bourne Identity regardless).

That is actually anterograde amnesia. Retrograde amnesia is where you can't remember things that happened before the head trauma occurred. But I agree with you, the movie/tv variety of amnesia is usually quite a stretch.

Another one, in which I can not suspend my disbelief is Charlie's Angels. You have 110 lb. women knocking men, which outweigh them by >50 lbs., around like beach balls. The new one looks even more silly from the trailer.

Yeah but the movie's sort of a comedy (it takes itself even less seriously than the James Bond movies)

You're right. I just don't remember laughing much or at all if you want to get technical. The difference for me is James Bond is supposed ex-special forces and the angels are ex-cops so I have much different expectations of ability.

Well, my comment was sorta confusing. Diana's chaufeur had retrograde amnesia, and was unable to permanently store the memories of events leading to and involving the crash that were stored in his short-term memories. It's very common with severe concussions.
Leonard Shelby in Memento has Anterograde amnesia, which is a much rarer, more serious brain ailment where the brain is incapable of forming new memories. As they correctly point out in the film, this sort of condition can be seen with severe alcohol abuse and with end-stage syphilis.
But the brain is different from magnetic tape and cannot be wiped clean, no matter how many hack screenwriters would like you to believe it can.
