What exactly is your criteria for "real stories?" Because Adaptation and Windtalkers certainly do not belong on these lists.
I'm assuming you mean "based on a true story" like Ali, Murder in the First, and almost everything else listed above? Do you mean something loose with the facts like Young Guns? Or movies that are more serious about the emotions of their subject like Black Hawk Down.

My third choice, Queen Margot, is excellent but is historically accurate and inaccurate in equal measures.
