OMG: "The Foreigner" - It's that bad

Well, this is one of those DVDs I wished I never had. I actually liked a few of Segal's movies, but this one is by far, the worst I have ever seen. I'm surprised he even let the director ask him for the part. Or maybe Steven is financially broke and needs the cash?

Since you're talking about the movie, not the disk, moving to Movie Talk.

My brother is a huge Seagal fan, and I think the guy is alright in a decent role.

But my god, this movie was simply awful. A waste of not only 3.50 for the rental, but what seemed like 4 hours of my life.

The story, well, it doesn't make sense and when they do try and let you in, you don't care!

The only slightly redeeming thing about this movie (and only slightly) is
Spoiler:
the guy that won't die.

Seagal and Van Damme should do a movie together. Maybe it would give them both a momentary trip out of direct-to-video hell. I think they're about done pairing him with rappers.

He needs to shed about 50 pounds or so and start doing movies with three words in the title again.

Van Damme already tried that with Dolph Lundgren for Universal Soldier... although back then Van Damme was the marketable commodity while Lundgren was toiling in straight-to-video land. Now they're reteaming for Streetfighter 2! Maybe he can get roles for Seagal, Jeff Speakman, Don "The Dragon" Wilson, and Michael Dudikoff while he's at it.

Even though Seagal and Van Damme are totally incompatible, I think that team-up would be enough to ensure a pretty wide release in theaters again (Though technically Seagal has only had 2 films ever go DTV).
