I hate Claire Danes more than any other actor or actress in the history of the universe because of the crap she said about the motherland. Because of her I've not seen any of her movies since the Rainmaker, which I liked.

As to the question, the only actor I can come up with right now that I hate is Drew Barrymore. And the only movie that she's in that I enjoy is Donnie Darko (despite her).

I can't stand Jim Carrey, but I liked the Truman Show. I guess his acting/personality in that just wasn't bad enough to totally ruin the movie for me. Still, I'm not going out to buy the DVD.

I think the star you love to hate has to be the lead actor/actress or have a large supporting role in the movie you like otherwise you can rationalize that others carried the movie into the like column.
Nick Cage - For me, he ruins most movies that he stars in. But I liked FaceOff, the Rock, and Con Air in spite of his sorry mug.
Russell Crowe - I dislike him but liked LA Confidential.
I don't like Travolta. Something about the guy. But I liked the movies FaceOff and Broken Arrow. I sorta liked SwordFish.
Dennis Quaid ... l liked the movie Frequency.

At any rate, my #1 vote goes to keanu reeves. I cant stand him in anything but the Matrix/Reloaded. The best comparison i can think of for good/bad reeves is when u compare Matrix 1 vs Speed. In the later he always tries to look like a tough guy and comes off like a total dork/wimp. different story in the matrix.
