I'm gonna have to go with National Security too. Just horrible the whole way through, and I wanted it to end way before it actually did.

of course, once From Justin to Kelly comes out, my tune will most likely change.

Darkness Falls - great eerie beginning only to go quickly disolve into an extremely predictable, badly acted and edited film.

Dreamcatcher - wtf? this movie was a complete mess.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - ugh, gag, I was dragged to this, it should have been retitled: "How not to throw up in the first 10 minutes". Terrible dialogue and totally manipulative.

Tears of the Sun - it's a bad sign for an action movie, when you start watching your watch waiting for something to happen in the film. (I am so glad this was a free screening)

The Recruit - literally watching a piece of turd go down the toilet.

Literally? You sure you didn't fall asleep in the bathroom or something?

Wait til you see the scenes with Scott Baio in them. They are so good you'll cry.

DARKNESS FALLS and THEY were both dreadfully boring.

THE RECRUIT was predictable and dull.

PHONE BOOTH was an awful, awful overdirected underwritten mess, and easily the longest 80 minutes I've spent in a theater in a long time.

TEARS OF THE SUN was awful, sanctimonious, ignorant and boring.

But I was most disappointed in THE MATRIX RELOADED, because it was so dull, and too long, and felt so opposite from the strengths of the original.

Oh come on, this is the worst movie you've seen this year!? I didn't care for "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" last year, but it was hardly the worst film that I saw. Wouldn't mind seeing a list of films that you have seen (so far). Just curious.

Not to mention unbelievable. I thought it had it's moments, and Monica Belluci is definitely easy on the eyes, but the chances of that happening in real life are just so slim.

Spoiler:
I mean at the end of the movie after half of his platoon has been killed and the other half are left bloodied and shot, Bruce Willis' character would most likely be facing a court martial for disobeying orders, secret mission or not. How do you just decide to go against direct orders of a superior and the guy goes "I hope you know what you are doing..."

Actually, My Big Fat Greek Wedding would rank up there with worst films I have seen this year. Took a chance on this when I got it as a free rental and still thought it was horrible. Never going to get any of the time back I wasted on that one. Insipid, boring, not funny. But that's just my opinion.

That's what I hate about these threads. Invariably somebody lists a movie that somebody else liked and they say "I'd like to see what movies you saw that you liked better than this." Very subjective. I loved Matrix Reloaded. Others hated it. I liked Anger Management, others thought it sucked. I just let it go because we are all right.

I've recently subscribed to The Movie Network so I can catch up on some year old flicks. Now those movies weren't made this year but I saw them recently.

-Rollerball. John Mctiernan directed this?!? Give me the original "Rollerball" anytime.

-Enough. Appropriately titled, I found myself actually cheering for the Bill Campbell character (Come on! He's The Rocketeer!!)

And what's so wrong about that? I know it's subjective. But in the company of movies like "Dreamcatcher" and "Darkness Falls", it's hard to imagine anything worse. Sure, who knows if funman saw these. Again, I'm just curious. To me, there's a huge difference between simply not enjoying a movie and labeling it "the worst". Which to me is a film with absolutely no redeeming qualities. And unreleasable. Like I mentioned, I too didn't care for "MBFGW". I'd nominate "Jeepers Creepers" being worse than that (That *was* last year too, wasn't it??)

Ok, i was going to reply to the question posed in this thread until I read that the first poster's thread.

If you legitimally think that about schmidt was by far the worst film you've seen this year YOU:

a- ...Obviously haven't seen many movies this year.

b- ...Have chose your favorite movie this year to be kangaroo jack followed closely by the masterpiece just married and was deeply entraced with the performance of master thespian, ashton kutcher.

c- ...Are Making me very angry...You don't want to see me when I'm angry!

d- ... Like to go against the grain, play against the rules, live dangerously and pick only good movies to hate.

e- ...Are the devil. THE DEVIL!
