2003 - The year of Hugo Weaving?

He could end up being in the 3 highest grossing movies of the year. The question is, would anyone care? And has it been done before?

No matter how many records the Matrix movies and Return of the King breaks it will never be "the year of Hugo Weaving"

Gotta disagree.

He was great in Priscilla, Queen Of the Desert.

It's the year of Colin Farrell.

Maybe the year of Sam L. Jackson.

Hugo is a solid actor and has been for years. See his performances in The Interview and Proof for starters.

Upon reading this thread, hundreds of Colin Farrells descended on Hugo Weaving and beat him senseless.

Umm... no. But he did kick ass playing Agent Smith.

Colin Farrells is an ass faced Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise wannabe...

Damn, I wish I was THAT ass-faced

Considering how good he is, I'd elevate him over the level of wannabe too.

Back on topic - I'd hate for Hugh to be typecast from now on. Anyone else think that hollywood will ignore his talents?

Even thought Hugo could be in the top 3 grossing movies of the year, it won't be a big deal because none of these movies were "Hugo Weaving movies". They are Keanu Reeves and Ian Mckellen movies.

The Hulk does look fake and if they don't get it right by the time the sequel comes out, we'll be complaing again!

One thing that got me about Hugo Weaving... in interviews, he has a british accent, but he tries really hard to hide that in his movies. however in LOTR, his character sounded kinda out of place without the british accent.
