I've seen 35 of em'. Currently own...

This is Spinal Tap
Repo Man
The Shawshank Redemption
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Dawn of the Dead
Re-Animator
The Big Lebowski

And I would agree that this list, like most lists, is questionable at best...

Scarface and The Shawshank Redemption are considered cult movies.

Everyone on Cribs has Scarface and TNT shows The Shawshank Redemption every weekend.

Where is Swingers? Based on the fact that my 20 closest friends can quote that movie verbatim and not a single one saw it in the theater is reason enough for me...

Not one person I noticed from a quick skim of this thread mentions having seen, let alone owning, Walking and Talking. Geofferson mentions seeing it indirectly in that it didn't make his "not seen" list.

Too bad, its a terrific little film.

However, there is no way it is more deserving in being on this list than a number of other far more popular "cult" films (the oft-mentioned Swingers being one of them).

I have seen 28 and own several, including Walking and Talking, on DVD.
