Now that I think of it, I believe Shoah, when it was screening in the U.S. back in the late 80's, was shown over a period of two days.

Wim Wenders film "Until the End of the World" has been shown in two extended versions: 280 minutes (director's cut) and a longer 300 minute version.

Forman's Amadeus

Amadeus director's cut was well over three hours, I think it was 210 minutes. And I saw it at the Cinemarama Dome in Hollywood last year. Still an incredible film and much like Apocalypse Now Redux it plays better and seemingly quicker at the longer length.

Edit: I checked and it is 403 minutes. That's 6 hours and 43 minutes!
In the 'for what its worth dept.', Leonard Maltin's 2002 Movie Guide lists the original USSR release as being 507 minutes (8.45 hrs.). It would still be second place to SHOAH's 9 hours & 10 min. though (before PAL speedup). Hope to get the DVD set soon; been waiting since last year.

Why wouldn't it? I recall seeing it in a normal movie theater. Of course, I fell asleep, but that's another story.

There's also
Jeanne la Pucelle I - Les Batailles
Jeanne la Pucelle II - Les Prisons

which obviousily were released in two parts totalling 5 hours and 36 minutes.
