The Bad Boys 2 trailer that showed before X2 was lameeeeeeeee.

Funny premise, but nothing so exciting are actually funny in the trailer itself.

pixyboi has a point. I *could* have included Matrix and X2. The reasons I didn't is because:

1) Those two are the "Huge" summer sequels that most people were looking forward to and expecting to be the big hits. I didn't feel they fell into the context of the poll. Even if you hated the Matrix, you should be able to see why that sequel was made as opposed to most of the films listed above.

2) Since X2 is out already, I didn't want everyone's opinion on that film in this thread. I wanted to know how people felt about upcoming sequels

3) I wanted to have some limit on the number of films to vote for so the results weren't too spread out.

4) I didn't want a bunch of posts saying "Are you nuts? Why'd you include Matrix Reloaded in that survey?"

I hope that clears things up. If "Reloaded" isn't a great, universally praised film, I'll include "Revolutions" in the winter movie poll.

Want something that clearly tanked?
well I guess I've been proven wrong. I thought that the second one made under 30 million.

Neways, last summer, I bought this for $11.99 at Best Buy right after the price drop. Then I rented it for free on VHS at Blockbuster. After watching it, the next day I went back to Best Buy and returned the DVD. Not opening that DVD right away was one of my best DVD decisions ever. That's definitely up there on my all time WORST movie list.

Oh yeah, I guess Rocky likes this cuz of Stallone, understandable. But c'mon, he goes from Eye See You to Spy Kids 3? I'm sorry, Sly, you're career is dying. That's worse than Demi Moore doing Charlie's Angels 2.

BTW : Daytripper, you're right. I was going to include Exorcist : The Beginning (yet another colon ) in the poll. I forgot that one and "American Wedding". It's just too hard to keep track of all these lame sequels.

And no matter how terrible a sequel is, it's still better than a prequel. How can you care about what happens to a character when you already know what's going to happen to them? (George Lucas, are you listening?) The only reason that Exorcist or Harry Met Llyod are being made is that no original cast members had to be hired.

That said, it's a little hard to care about what happens to the T-800 model Terminator, seeing as no matter how many times he's destroyed, people in the future keep sending new, older looking models back in time for another shot.

I am excited about the new exorcist film because paul schrader is directing it, plus it functions more as a prequel.

Worst:

2 fast 2 furious

Most of the original films cast & director are out.
Newly dubbed hack director john singleton & paul walker are in.
2 lame.

Runner-ups:

Legally blonde 2. As if!
Terminator 3. No cameron. No sarah connor. Female terminator.
Um, why bother?
Bad boys 2. About 7 years too late.

Will be better than the original:

None. But nice try!

Charlies Angels sucked

Charie Townsend would never have hired these characters. Actress's were good but with a bad script, actors(male/female) can't provide a remedy!

And "Get Carter" was the #1 box office hit of 2000, am I right?

How is the air there on Bizarro-world, btw?

edited to add: "Most Highing"??

For me it's everything on that list except for T3. Though I'm fairly indifferent about T3 overall, most of that other stuff makes me want to vomit.

You see, that's why I didn't put X2 or Matrix Reloaded in. For responses like that
What a load of dreck is coming out this summer. Has there ever been a sequel title that's lamer than 2 Fast and 2 Furious? Yuck-o! What exactly is 2 Furious? Even if it means "Too furious", isn't that sort of redundant because there really isn't an acceptable level of furiousness, is there? I've never heard anyone say, for example, "When your father finds out, he's going to be furious -- but not TOO furious."
