Here is the first Spy Kids 3D trailer

Don't know if that was the one shown before X-Men or not....

well, that teaser sucks, but I think it's mostly because it's more of a teaser for the 3-D aspect, rather than the movie itself... hopefully a full trailer will come along soon (heck, the movie opens in two and a half months)....

Crappy Windows Version Of The Trailer

Can't believe the trailer is in Media Player format. Ugh.
Slow, choppy and a complete waste of time. What little I did see looked good but I need a QuickTime version of this trailer soon.

I might be going out to see this one when it's released.

I can't believe these movies found an audience for people over 12. But its DVDTalk, stranger things have happened. In other Robert Rodriguez news, I am much looking forward to seeing Once Upon A Time In Mexico to see Johnny Depp play the villain for once.

Only PARTS of the movie are in 3-D.

While they were shot with Cameron's cameras, the are going with the inferior red/blue anaglyph 3-D format for wide distribution, so don't expect IMAX 3-D quality in your local cinema.

Hopefully an IMAX version will also be made available on a limited basis.

I see people talking about Disney movies and Japanese anime.

If they can have an audience for people over 12, so why not Spy Kids?

Spy Kids is made for people in all ages. In other words, they are family films.

I watched the trailer. It was pretty silly; not to mention misleading. An effect as shown in the trailer won't be too effective in red/blue anaglyph 3-D. It will look like FREDDY'S DEAD.

If they do an IMAX version, it will look quite good; but general audiences won't see anything too impressive.

Even GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS looks horrible in 35mm 3-D; and it is polarized, not the even worse red/blue junk.

Forget the whole 3-D crap. The thing that really amazes me is that he only started filming this movie about two months ago, and it's coming out this summer! Shows you how efficient Rodriquez is as a filmmaker.

it also shows me how desperate Disney is to make money (or possibly lose money in this case). More times than not, movies that are rushed to the big screen like this aren't the best. But hey, if there's a market for these films, then go for it. They were probably better off spending a lil more time on this and releasin' it a lil later, perhaps in the summer of 2004.

Personally, this is probably one of the last movies that I'd ever watch.

I think the speed has a lot more to do with Rodriguez being the master of low budget cinema than Disney trying to score extra money.

It's a wonderful franchise and I'm anxious for this one!

Rocky_Stallone, no offense, but:

a) How old are you?
b) You need to get your **** out of Sly Stallones ****.

The man has had some deserved successes, but he ain't THAT good that you should treat him like a god.

Loved the 1st movie and the 2nd was good also.

I am very much looking forward to seeng the next 3D movie.

The only time we will be having the 3D glasses on is when the movie is inside the Video Game.

Spy Kids shows that you do not need lots of sex and 4 lettered words to have a successful movie.

b) No thanks, if you don't like me talking about Stallone in the boards, then my advice to you is, just ignore it and deal with it. I can talk about him in the boards all I want to. I do like other actors besides Sly.

I wonder if the DVD will be in 3-D as well? If so, I'd wait for the DVD since Robert Rodriguez does some fantastic commentaries. I'm still waiting for my Spy Kids SE as well!

Rodriguez has already stated in interviews that the DVD will include the red/blue 3-D sequences, but that the VHS will not.

Hopefully they could add a field sequential 3-D version as well.

Apple has the first trailer up.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/spy_kids_3-d/

This is a full length trailer, not a teaser. I think it looks pretty impressive. Looks even more fun than the first two. George Clooney is back from the first and so is Ricardo Montalban from the second. Rodriguez regular Salma Hayek is also in it.
