The strange thing is that I was the only one in the theatre to laugh at that line.

One thing that bugged me was John C. Reilly's part. I think he can do better than that. I mean you kinda lose respect for the guy after that.

And that was a great favor. Probably the best part of the film.

Anyone else get the feeling they were working on this script right after 9/11 or during it? From the comments on the plane, to Adam Sandler's comment about being glad to be an American, to the repeated showings of the Army sign outside his apartment, and finally giving Rudy Gulliani a part. It seemed really cheesy, especially Sandler's line about being proud to be an American with the little wink or nod after.

What's so great about John C Reily? Sandler would of been better off putting someone else in that role (probably Chris Farley if he was still alive). I just think John C Reily is a mediocore actor. I've never enjoyed any of his films.
I was dissapointed with the Rudy cameo it would have been funnier with Rob Schnieder doing that part.

I saw this recently and didn't enjoy it at all. MUCH cruder than Sandlers other "romantic comedies." Nicholson was great, as expected, but overall I just didn't like it.

I was disappointed, unfortunately. The trailer made it look very good, when in reality, I didn't laugh all that much at parts that weren't in the trailer.
Majority of the cameos were underused or used poorly, but I thought Harry Dean Stanton was amusing and John Turturro had energy too.
Really didn't care for all the dick jokes, though. I thought the screenplay was really weak and overall a great deal less than my three favorite Adam Sandler movies - Happy, Billy, and Big Daddy.
