At the QT Featival's do you get to meet him in that span of 10 nights his Festival takes place.

It takes place in Austin, but it didn't happen last year because of QT filming Kill Bill. It probably won't happen this year if he is out promoting Kill Bill. Can't remember the dates of past QT Fests though.

I've never attended, but yes, QT does show up, with the general qualifier that he's there to talk about the films he's presenting and not about his own works. He introduces the films, or at least has in years past. Here's a link to an Austin Chronicle article from a few years back:
