Scagnetti the Parole Officer - mentioned in one film, seen in another!!

I first heard the name Scagnetti when Vic Vega (aka Mr. Blonde) revealed him as his Parole Officer in writer/director Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" in 1992.

In 1993, "Natural Born Killers" came out, and Scagnetti was in the flesh (played by Tom Sizemore). "Killers" was based on Tarantino's script, and while I have seen this film before, I watched it last night and made the connection.

Kinda neat.

I hear we also landed on the moon.

Seriously, if this kind of thing interests you, you'd be amazed at all the "kinda neat" things interspersed throughout the Tarantino universe. I'm sure there are websites devoted entirely to this very thing.

What's even better is that Tom Sizemore and Michael Madsen are really the same guy. I think he got the idea from Skeet Depp.

And Mr. White mentions Alabama in Reservoir Dogs, and there's also mention of a Marsellus Spivey, yet in Pulp there's a Marsellus Wallace. Maybe QT missed that one. And the obvious Vincent Vega and Vic Vega although I don't its ever mentioned in either movie that one of them has a brother.

I think that the names do not really indicate that they are actually the characters alluded to in another film as much as Tarantino just likes to use the same names over as it lends some realism to his flicks. The only confirmation QT has given in terms of relations is that Vic and Vincent Vega are brothers, and that he intends to do a movie about them at some point. (Though how he can do it with would prove quite difficult, even if it were a prequel to their films, as both actors aren't getting any younger.)

Unfortunately that didn't stop Anthony Hopkins and the Red Dragon team.
