Hollywood beauty Sharon Stone's romp with vertically challenged tough guy Joe Pesci has been voted the worst love scene of all time. The scene from Martin Scorsese's 1995 movie Casino beat out competition from Entrapment, in which Sean Connery bedded Catherine Zeta-Jones, 40 years his junior. Third in the poll - voted for by readers of American magazine Film - came the controversial 1972 movie Last Tango In Paris in which Marlon Brando frolics with Maria Schneider. Describing the Casino sex scene, one reader said, "Could there be a more repulsive combination than these two? It's like one of the munchkins got a shot at Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz." Other scenes to make the top 10 include Madonna's candle wax session with Willem Dafoe in Body Of Evidence, and Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton in Monster's Ball.

and how could the monsters ball sex scene be consitered terrible? (well billy bobs balls might not have been the best, but still, a great sex scene)

What was their criteria for this pointless list? It seems like they just didn't want to think about Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci doing it. Personally, I think it's great, to see a schlub like Pesci nail a woman like Stone. Who wouldn't like that? If they really wanted bad love scenes, they're going to have to dig deeper than the films they're listing.

Well no wonder "Monster's Ball" ended up on that list. It's not a love scene. It's two miserable lonely individuals going at it like animals. It's SUPPOSED to make you feel uncomfortable. Whoever included that movie obviously missed the whole point of that scene(and possibly the entire film).

I actually just watched Entrapment last nite and except for the scene that Rypro described thats the only "love scene" between the two.
Geez...maybe voters/readers of American magazine Film needs to actually understand what a love scene is...
