The final 4 crayons have shipped. Supposed to go late last week. The shipping dep't has been flogged.

The Adoption cards for these 4 do not have the crayons name on them as they will be named in October. The Adopters can fill it in themselves and give them a name at that time.

- I will figure out today who has received their crayon. Emailed or posted notice of receiving is appreciated.

Well, I just returned from sunny Puerto Rico and snapped a few nice pics with Mr. Black. I'll post them soon as I can.

Looks like I've got some reading to do...

Well, I found myself in East Moline, Illinois (one of the "quad cities") last week, and they have a bunch of statues of frogs (kind of like Chicago's cow statues a few years back). Here is Unmellow Yellow with a couple of frogs:

And closer to Wisconsin, Unmellow Yellow stumbled across the remains of Red-Orange, who had been beaten like John Geoghan and left in the parking lot to melt. Unmellow Yellow is very angry in this photo and was wanting me to document the crime scene so that he could start his investigation.

As a side note, right after I left the scene of the crime, the hotel groundskeeper came over with a broom and dustpan to sweep him away (though he had to be pried from the asphalt first). The groundskeeper gave me the look of "why were you taking pictures of a crayon?", one I'm sure that some of you have seen.

By the way, if you really want an easy way out of explaining why you are taking a picture of a crayon, just say "it's for scale".

And thanks again Preacher for hosting!

Here's a few quick shots. I noticed lots of people like to take pix of theirs with toys so I followed like a sheep.

These are a very old smoking toy of silent comedian Harold Lloyd:

Bruce himself:

noticed jolt did a Leatherface also:

This battery operated toy from the 1950's was a perfect match for my "robin's egg blue":

To date, no one has "VIOLATED" the crayons.
You should still feel funny.

Enjoy!

Ok, here they are:

Mr. Black in Old San Juan

A few of Mr. Black at the 500 year old fort there (used to help guard against pirates!)

Hanging with some awesome iguanas:

And one for the fellas, eyeing a tattoo parlor:

Hasn't happened yet. Sept. 6. In the meantime he's getting a world tour (well, Puerto Rico and NYC, which is pretty much the same thing anyway)

I'm still kicking myself for not having him in time for the blackout. Oh the lost Brooklyn Bridge shots! Oh the humanity!

buskerdog -- great pics! The crayon looks like a 10 foot tall monument that is actually part of the landscape. Nice job.
