Anyone know if these will come out on DVD?

There are two movies I'd love to see in DVD format. So far my searches have turned up nothing worthwhile and I was wondering if one of you might be better informed than I am...
1 - Astérix et Cléopatre (cartoon, France) ... IMO one of the best and funniest cartoons (in french). Made for kids but with plenty of interesting stuff for us, grownups
I have gone thru my third VHS tape already.
2 - The Sacred Mountain (JODOROWSKY, Alejandro, obscure). One of the most disturbing movies that I've seen, pokes fun at religious beliefs and basically challenges the perception we have of ourselves. The movie is VERY graphic (enough for me to mention) and depicts a few disgusting scenes but it's all done with the intent of symbolism. http://www.hotweird.com/jodorowsky/
The movie, to my knowledge, never made it to VHS either. Wonder if Jodorowsky has something to do with this?
