The Double Life Of Veronique BD (Artificial Eye)

Kieslowski's masterpiece I say. And it is also one of my favorite movies ever made.

Currently an HMV exclusive

Amazon UK getting it in March

dvdtimes review

All extras from the Artificial Eye/MK2 DVD are on there with the extras upscaled to 720. No PAL stuff, and region free.

This is now my favorite Blu-ray in my collection. Great transfer of a beautiful film, and region free to boot. The only negative is that I wish it had the commentary from the Criterion release.

Re: The Double Life Of Veronique BD (Artificial Eye)

Oh wow, I really want this title as my Criterion DVD of this title got stolen in a home robbery in late 2008, but now I have a reason to look for the BD version, though it's too bad it is lacking the commentary track.

Definitely a title worth stealing, or at least working harder to get it. In the summer of 2005, the VHS tape was on sale on eBay for like $550. I had to wait a while until it got under $30.

Wha? I still have my VHS copy of this film, at least the one put out by Paramount Home Video.

I have the Criterion edition but this is one of the films that I would be tempted to double dip. Any chance that Criterion will be releasing a BD edition in the future?

For those who don't own this, right now it's only £6.80 after VAT from Amazon.

Re: The Double Life Of Veronique BD (Artificial Eye)

This is a must have disc, and at that price, its a gimme.

Great transfer, great film. Criterion might eventually release it with some more extras but not worth waiting IMHO.

Also, having seen a few AE films on blu ray, they're a top shelf company. And most their blu rays are about the same price as Veronique right now.
