Getting back to LA FEMME PUBLIQUE, following on the anticipation generated by the announced release date of November 11th, I was a little disappointed to see the notice of "usually ships in 1 to 2 months" when I checked Amazon earlier today. But when I went to check my actual order status, it does say that my order is being prepped for shipment and that it cannot be cancelled or changed...so I'm hopeful it will ship in the coming few days.

This really looks like a phenomenal release. Mondo Vision is a label I'll definitely be keeping an eye on. Hopefully their future titles will be carried by more e-tailers.

I received my order for the Limited Edition. The packaging reminds me very much of some of the fancier Korean DVDs I've purchased. I checked to see what number I had out of the 2000 numbered copies and mine was 1898. I don't know what, if any, significance to attach to that number...is it just sort of random or have the previous 1897 copies already been put out on the market and sold. I suppose that would certainly be good news for Mondo Vision. Yet, I hope they didn't underestimate demand, and I wish that all of you who pre-ordered are successful in having your orders fulfilled very soon.

Excellent news. Mondo Vision's edition of La Femme Publique was one of 2008's finest releases, and I'm sure the rest of his work will be treated with the same care.
