Could you take a look and let us know whether or not this print is also digitally-blurred (book-reading scene, very bottom).
I checked and the scene is not digitally blurred.

I'll probably have to go this route, too, since I'm getting tired of waiting for a R1 reissue or the OOP prices to go down.

Heres what Ive ordered recently. All are from Amazon.uk and are Special editions of films (most are editions of films not available in the us.)

Order 1:
The Deer Hunter (Special Edition) (2 Disc)
Creepshow (2 Disc Special Edition)
Last House On The Left - 3 Disc Ultimate Edition (Uncut)

Order #2:
Tiger On The Beat (Special Collector's Edition)
John Woo (4-disk Box set includes a 2-disk Bullet in the head and special editions of Once a Thief and The Killer.)
Don't Look Now - Special Edition
The Piano (2-disk Special Edition)
Jekyll : Complete BBC Series 1

Order #3
Withnail And I : 20th Anniversary Edition (3 Disc Digitally Remastered Special Edition)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show / Shock Treatment (3-disk set)
Perfume - The Story Of A Murderer (2-disk SE)
Human Nature (with commentary)
Summer Of Sam (SE with Spike Lee commentary and other extras)
I Robot (Collector's Two Disc Edition)
One From The Heart (2-disk SE)
Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels (2 Disc Special Edition)

Total for all orders AND S+H to the US was only around $140. Great deals. I love AMazon.uk. These were my first 3 orders I placed with them and I couldnt be more pleased. I think they are better than Amazon.US. the shipping and prices are better. I love being region free.

Shipping from Amazon is free over $25.00, while shipping from Amazon.uk is £3 plus £1 for each additional item, so the shipping is cost is definitely not better. Amazon.uk usually discount generously though, so prices are pretty reasonable, especially with the plummeting value of the pound. They also have a hassle-free return policy - you don't have to return damaged items at all, they simply send you a replacement copy. I share your enthusiasm for being region-free: it opens up whole new DVD-purchasing possibilities.

^What I meant by the shipping was actually how fast I get my items from the Uk compared to how fast it takes the US Amazon to get my items together and get them shipped.
Amazon can take over a week to get all in-stock items together and get them shippied. Amazon.uk usually ships items out the day after I place the order.
I've been region-free for over a year and a half but only recently stated ordering from Amazon.uk. Pretty cool site to order from and I love finding me some DVD's that have special features the US versions do not have.

yeah, but isn't the special edition from Fox actually out of print - hence why the import sounds like a good purchase (AND to get the sequel as well)

^Yep thats true. But the US box set also has the 2-disk rocky horror and that box set IS NOT out of print but its a bit more pricey. I already have the SE of Shock Treatment but I thought what the hell and went in for the box set. Still, u r right. Its a good deal.
