Im Kwon Taek collection - good stuff!

Cosmic, If you haven't already, track down the Lee Chang Dong boxset. Of the three films Oasis really shines. So-ri's performance as a woman with cerebal palsy is really something. Kyung-gu plays a half wit and the film centers around their relationship and the sociological challenges presented. Heart-warming, challenging and interesting film. I wouldn't want to say anything more about this film except that it's a must see.

The narrative in Peppermint Candy is told in reverse chronological order similarly to Memento. It's a somewhat depressing film about the events leading up to the break down of this man played yet again by Kyung-gu. But it's well worth a viewing.

I don't recall as much about the last film, Green Fish starring veteran actor, Han Suk-kyu. It centers around an average citizen who directly after his mandatory military service hooks up with the local joPok for employment primarily due to a beautiful woman he encounters who also just happens to be the girlfriend of the head of the enterprise. It's the weakest of the three films but has its moments.

I highly recommend this set.

I've seen Oasis (a film that I thought was excellent, although perhaps not one I would care to watch again, at least anytime soon) but not the other two. If there were to be a reissue of that set with Secret Sunshine included, I might feel more compelled to spring for it, but I do appreciate the recommendation and will probably keep an eye out for a solid price in the future. At the very least, I'm more likely to pick up Asian films directed by someone I'm somewhat familiar with and that has a good track record, as opposed to whatever happens to be the "flavor of the week" overseas (the sort of thing which has burned me on more than a few occasions) ...

Yes, this is a problem for me. My wife has now started to question my sanity as I just recently bought my 8th bookcase (all 2 rows deep) for my DVDs and I still don't have enough room...and I live in a small one bedroom apartment!

Another problem is finding time to watch all my DVDs...let's just say I have a lot of problems concerning my DVD habit

One of HMV's deals of the week: On the Buses complete, £24.99, or 75% off. There's an R1 set from Canada that retails for Ca$100, so this is still cheaper.

Perhaps you should reconsider as ITV code their titles and the second batch will not be an exception.

ITV's Capricorn One wasn't coded; is this confirmed to be a region-B disc? If so, I'll obviously have to cancel the preorder (and be quite irritated/disappointed, as this was one of the only upcoming Blu releases I was very excited about).

I have an "official" sheet with me and does indeed point to B-coding. Whether the discs comes out as "region-free" is another matter. I would recommend that you wait for a review or at least a confirmation.
