Watched this on Canal+ on Saturday. Surprised and disappointed with best film winner...
Best film, adapted screenplay, actress (M. Hands): "Lady Chatterley".

Obviously I did not have the opportunity to follow the event live but did read about it in other French forums. I will be honest with you: there are some very strange picks this year and though I have not seen all films to make a final comment I have been reading quite a bit and to put it mildly this isn't an impressive selection of films.

Yep, I'd agree with that, Pro-B. As I mentioned in the first post, I was really shocked and annoyed to see "Lady Chatterley" win so many, inc. best film. I was quite pleased to see Canet win as at least his film has been a genuine success and people have been enthusiastically turning out for that one. I feel Cécile de France should have won for either of her best actress noms (preferably for "The Singer"), and all in it made for a disappointing evening's viewing...
