Fureur
I would really appreciate if someone could answer the following questions for me.
1. Has anyone seen the all region dvd of "Fureur" staring Samuel LeBihan? Is the all region dvd picture quality descent?
2. I am a Urban Planner who love European cities. Can anyone recommend dvd's about asians in european cities (love stories, action, drama, etc.)? I am looking for beautifully shot asian/european movies using European cities as a back drop. I purchased "Daisy" which had beautiful scenery of Amsterdam and was a good story.
3. Will the film company Gaumont ship to the U.S.?
4. I purchased "Fauteuils D'Orchestre" from Amazon France. Canal Studio's was the distributor. The picture quality sucked. Is there a better quality out there? I's also interested in purchasing Paris, je t'aime for Amazon Fr. Has anyone seen it? Is the picture quality descent? Is it english subs or is the audio in english?
Most of the foreign dvd sites such as Amazon Fr. are not very clear about a dvd specs. (subtitles, etc). Sorry for all the questions. There are so many films I want to purchase since buyiny my all region dvd player but I am finding that its not that easy.

1. The French disc is superb!! Too bad the film isn't that memorable. Le Bihan is still a looker. I have the single disc somewhere around here...

There is also a Thai disc which I have no idea what it looks like....
2. This is an interesting question...take a look at Lovers in Prague! (after I finish dinner I shall go through my collection to see what else is there...)
3. What does Gaumont have that you can not find on Amazon.fr, Fnac.fr. etc...??
4. Fauteuils D'Orchestre sucked?? Really? I will have the disc at the of the month so clearly can not comment on it yet but according to the lads at DVDRAMA it is way batter than sucky.

James: The disc is most certainly not subbed in English!! As to the language track...it is a mix of a few different languages. To appreciate the film without English subs you definitely need more than basic French.

The R2 UK disc is MOST definitely in the proper 2.35:1 ratio. Will have a review soon.
You're welcome James!
