Robin Hood: Series 1 Volume 1 - DVD Region 2 $14.95 (after discount)
This is the first i've heard of this series. If it's as good as ROS, i'm gonna have to pick this up!

BTW:
The R2 versions of:
Warrior King (HKL?) - $26.60 a.d.
Fearless - $26.60 a.d.
are available for pre-order. Hopefully the prices drop a bit more before their respective release dates.

Is this http://imdb.com/title/tt0787985/ the show? The one where the tapes were stolen?

It is. When i did a search for the show, i got a bunch of "stolen tape" results. So, either they got the tapes back, they reshot the eps, or this Vol. 1 is what wasn't stolen and Vol. 2 will be released when the tapes are (or whenever MI6 can "liberate" them).

Those are warehouse prices, once CDWow picks them up in their main stock, the prices will go way down.

Hey, has anyone who ordered Black Books Series 1 from CD-Wow have disc playback issues? Every episode freezes right after the opening credits. You have to select the second chapter stop and reqind to view the show.

I just wanted to make sure that no one elese had a problem disc before ordering a replacment copy. It's not worth throwing another 7 bucks down the tubes if the new copy has a chance of having the same problem.

Thanks!

Yes. It would freeze up at various times during the program. They sent me a replacement copy since the first one was apparently defective. The second one did the exact thing. They refunded my money and shipping costs for both discs once I'd sent them back to them.

Did either of you try the disc on different DVD players? Maybe only certain players are affected.

I couldn't try it on any other player since I'm Region 1 but the disc is Reigion 2. But I imagine that it was a problem with the player since it was the exact same problem with both copies I tried.

A friend I had loaned the disc to discovered the error, and I had the same problem once I got it back. We do both have the same DVD players, though. As I was typing this, I suddenly remembered that I have a region hack on my laptop (ssshhh!) and tried it out. The disk is playing fine, so it probably is a player compatibility issue.

Worm, are you using a Philips 642 like we are?

Yep. I figured it was an issue with the player. There was no way that two disc could have the same defect just by coincidence.

Try this: first click this link:

http://www3.cd-wow.us/index.php?affid=14275&pp_nr=1

Then change the search category to DVDs, and enter "da vinci code". You should find the $14.95 price for "The Da Vinci Code (2 Disc Set) DTS DVD Region 3". If that doesn't work, clear your cookies and repeat.

Same here. They changed the release date to 9/18 but still no action. I'm expecting another email from them bumping it to next week...
