All British stuff looks like garbage. The Brits like it that way.

If only CD Wow would carry more Russ Meyer titles.

Well CDWOW shows only four at this time:

Sort by Title Sort by Region Sort by Price
Russ Meyer's Vixen DVD Region 2 $17.95
Russ Meyer's Supervixens DVD Region 2 $22.95
Russ Meyer's Mondo Topless DVD Region 2 $15.95
Russ Meyer's Up! DVD Region 2 $22.95

I'd go w/the two Vixen flicks first, then Up!, then Mondo. Mondo is basically a series of stripper profiles shot w/fun gogo music and intermittent shots of transistor radios. Fun, but not essential.

Vixen would be first choice. Excellent movie and Supervixens has a lot of great stuff in there as well. Charles Napier is excellent. Up! which is a step below the Vixen flicks IMHO.

Sadly the prices are much higher than when I bought nine or so from CDWOW. I think they were $12.95 at the time. Maybe there's a cheaper link than what I used.

Thanks for the recomendations.
this is what the prices I come up with using the Iowa link:

Russ Meyer's Vixen DVD Region 2 $15.95
Russ Meyer's Supervixens DVD Region 2 $14.95
Russ Meyer's Mondo Topless DVD Region 2 $13.95
Russ Meyer's Up! DVD Region 2 $14.95

so some mayor different for some. Pusser make sure you use the link as its the best one around:

If that pattern continues, CDWOW should have a good price on the Spaced Definitive Collection that comes out in August.

Are any of those new Masters of Cinema titles (Abhijan, Faust, Kwaidan) ever going to get reduced to that nice, affordable $15 - $17 range?
Hope this isn't the writing on the wall, but it seems like those MoC price reductions just aren't happening lately...

Gypo66, good question. I've been checking continually hoping for a price drop. I'm starting to have some doubts myself if it's ever going to happen. Maybe I shouldn't have waited for CD-WOW as I seem to recall that AmazonUK had a pretty good pre-order price on "Faust".....but that does me no good right now.

Fyi,

they were doing a "sale" on them that upped the prices. I think they'll come down in a few weeks.

It's funny, sometimes the lower priced one goes out of stock then comes back. I almost paid $22 for City on Fire only to have the 9.95 option come back a couple days later.

The moral of the story is check back over a few days for the lower price.

Is it anamorphic? the reason i ask is because when HBO ran the series, on the hd station, they gave us bars on all 4 sides.
Also, unless the prices went up, how does 2 bucks off 13.95 get to 9.95?

It says that it is anamorphic.

$13.95 - $4 = $9.95 You know, I think you're right. Heh.

From what I understand, the link took off anywhere from 2-8 bucks. Although every page now says "Up to 30% off." Either way, $9.95.

I saw this over at dvdcompare.net...

"Our friends over at CD WOW! are having another of their famous 24 hour sales on Monday 7th August. Be sure to check it out as there will be great prices across their entire range including Chicken Little, The Bourne Supremacy, Team America plus thousands of other DVDs and CDs..."

Now I do not know how great these "famous 24 hour sales" are, but just a heads up...

It should be called "infamouse 24 hour sales". The selections were poor in the past.

Yeah, it wasn't on there when I looked last night. But then I got an email saying they were having one. Guess I was just a little quick on the draw.
