I've never actually pre-ordered a non-r1 movie before and i'm thinking of doing so with this one, but i had a few questions:
1. Does anyone know if this has less/same amount/more special features than the r1?
2. Whats the best (cheapest) place to pre-order it from?
3. Will cd-wow carry it, and if so when will it be up for pre-order?

From the specs listed, it looks exactly the same as the R1 to me (with obvious subtitle differences). I see it for sale at sensasian.com for not too awful a price. It's hard to say if cdwow will have it or not, but I think what they have now available for pre-order will probably be the only versions of KOH that they sell. Besides the tin packaging, there is no difference. If the tin is worth the extra price, then go for it.
