Gentlemen - look what the cat dragged in....

edited to add: if the Euro pricing comes up, just click for $U.S. pricing and type "Untergang" to show the $26.95 (before coupon) price:

http://www9.cd-wow.net/detail_result...subcat=region2

probassoonist, DVDTalkers, lurkers: High-fives all around!

Note: don't forget to use the $2 off link. The above is a direct link without the $2 off.

saw it at the theaters yesterday..if was great once they managed to get the subtitles ON the screen
another reason I would rather have watched it at on home on DVD..too damn expensive right now though..im sure there will be an R1 or a cheaper R2 release soon enough

Hmmm....that's weird, I just clicked on the link I posted earlier and what was supposed to be (and initially was) the $U.S. link defaulted to the German Euro link. The $U.S. price is $26.95 (before the $2 off); the German Euro link (has both DVD releases) and shows a price of Euro 23.99 for the 2-discer.

Deke Rivers, just wanted to clarify this for you and/or others who might have had the Euro pricing come up.

I'll edit my earlier post to mention the $U.S. pricing.

I was going to hold out for the extended cut, but since that's unlikely to hit DVD until after it's shown on German TV at Christmas, I figured 2006 was too long to wait and I have just ordered this.

Well done on getting CD-WOW to stock this one guys

BTW, thread title is still wrong. It's UNTERGANG

Hurried and ordered the German 2-Disc DTS edition from CDWOW for USD19.65.

The reason was that yesterday someone said their 20% discount link was working again. My fear that the link only would work for a short time was right. Today, it´s no longer working.

As I live in Scandinavia I won´t get much use of the Bonus disc, which aren´t subtitled at all.

An Extended Edition is to be expected on DVD some time in the future as Der Untergang will air in Fall/Christmas on German televison as a two part series.

Thought it might be in good order to show what the 2-Disc looks like.

Thanks for the answer. Just checking since I have never heard of CDWow before.
Odd, some CDWow servers show the price as $24.99 whereas some show 13.99 Euro..
What gives?

They have different servers for each locality. CD-WOW.com is for UK customers, CD-WOW.net is for US and German customers, CD-WOW.us is for US customers, CD-WOW.com.hk is for Hong Kong customers, CD-WOW.eu.com is for European customers, etc.

Say, I live in the US, so I order from the UK server where the price is 13.99 Euro compared to the US price of 26.95. Is that possible? Thanks!

Ahem, we use Pound Sterling here in the UK. We have not become totally taken over by the European Bureaucrats just yet So £13.99 is very close to $26.95 anyway, and even closer when you add on credit card foreign currency charges

But, yes, you can order from other servers, though some have currency restrictions so you are limited in what currencies you can pay in.

If it has a September release date for the UK, then it will be a different release to the German one(s). As you say, play.com don't list much info on their site but I imagine more details will start to appear before too long regarding extras etc. Whether the extras will be the same I couldn't say, but if the UK is only 1-disc then it's highly doubtful it will have all the material that the German 2-disc has. But of course, any extras that will be on the UK one will have Eng subs...

Dazza.
