Well anyone know what on earth this edition is and if it really is Uncut and all that?

as I was aware the Korean edition is cut, so is this a new Re- Release?

as I am dying to see the film and if this version really is uncut then it may be the best version for us english reading people.

that sure looks like the cover of the cut Korean release. Maybe they are releasing it uncut now.

Looks like a new 2-disc Korean release; the previous (cut) Korean release was 1-disc. Fingers-crossed that it's uncut this time around.

What was the quality of the old dvd then? pictire and sound quality? as I am sure they wont change them too much

seems theres a few versions finally coming out uncut the UK and this new Korean one if its true what do we buy....

Since about 99% of all Korean dvd releases don't have english subtitles on extras, I doubt this release will differ.

If this one doesn't as well, then I'll wait for the R2 release. I think that comes out the first quarter of 2005.

Yup the UK set will have extras all subbed, including the commentary well hopefully anyway.

I ordered one. It shipped Christmas Day. It's a national holiday here Monday and Tuesday, so may turn up tomorrow. If it sucks, I'll pick up the UK R2.

I thought the disc that came in the jewel case was uncut? I think I bought it from ethaicds.com. It was only subbed in English.

My copy from cd-wow has arrived today. I had the 2 disc french release and it has been quite a long time since I last watched it but I took a glimpse at the newly arrived version and it seems uncut to me (actually I don't know what was cut from other releases). The infamous head smasher scene is intact for example...

I have the dubbed uncut version and the PQ is very good considering it was $7.50 shipped....but the version that I am waiting for is the UK disc others have mentioned. I can't wait to dig into the extras and commentary for this film...combined with the original soundtrack, it seems perfect.

The only problem is the cover of the DVD. It's awful :-( And it says tension on the cover and tention on the disc :-P

Yeah, get that with a few Korean DVDs it seems. Judging by the cover shots at DVDAsian, they've spelt "Chapter" as "Capter" on the back cover. Love the slogan on the front cover too

After receiving my dvd today, at first glance I don't think this is uncut. Unless the runtime on imdb is off (91 minutes), the dvd shows a running time of 86:2~ minutes. Does anyone remember the run time of the original cut Korean release?


edit: Then again, looking around on ebay, some of the obvious boot's are showing an uncut time of 87 minutes.

According to DVD Beaver, it is uncut, but taken from a PAL source which probably accounts for the shorter running time. In fact, it matches the running times of the uncut PAL versions.
