Has anyone received a shipping notice from HKFLIX yet?
I pre-ordered from them earlier this week for $99.95 w/ free shipping.
They just raised the price this afternoon to $129.95 so I am asssuming they have them in stock now.

Thanks

hkflix shipping

Just a quick note, we (hkflix) are shipping these out as we receive them, a few at a time. Everyone who pre-ordered a copy should be guaranteed to receive one, it's just that they're coming to us a few at a time, presumably due to some delays at the manufacturer's end. But rest assured they are being shipped out as they arrive.

what about name engravings? does this mean we didn't get name engravings(if we requested them)?

and also, are you guys packing them properly so they won't be damaged(also you're not just cramming the calendar and poster in the box are you?

sorry but i'm really freaking out over this

My understanding is that the engraved ones will be arriving in 1-2 weeks. They require special attention during manufacturing and shipping so I guess that's why... The sets are being packed in styro peanuts and/or bubble wrap inside a larger box. And all FedEx shiments are insured against damage.

Wouldn't you know it, here I am waiting to receive my shipment in the mail, when I walk into a shop in my local Chinatown that never carries deluxe box sets, and sure enough there's the massive Infernal Affairs Trilogy box for $99.95, the same price I paid HKFlix.

I think it's just the flash... they're all the same. Mine is like yours also - hold it up to the light and you can see through it.

Assuming you're in Boston, it was Kneeland Electronics, on Kneeland St. not far from the bus station. They only had one copy, and this was a couple of days ago so I can't guarantee that it will still be there.

The thing looks great, and I really regret buying the DVDs seperately now (I bought the 2-disc sets of each new for $18 each the other day), I should've just waited and bought the box but I figured a 5-hour movie wouldnt justify the extra money. I didnt know it had all the other stuff and looked that good.

agree royalwithcheese. thanks to the guy who posted the pix. just received my Infernal Affairs from Angolz. shipped thursday. received saturday morning. via EMS.

the set is packed in a huge box along with the poster and calendar. no damage whatsoever happened. nice and protected packaging. thanks also to the customs friendly policy of Angolz.

really happy with their service... the outside casing of the set looks dull though.. but very sturdy. the flash effect (seen on the pix) fooled my eyes. just hope that a serial number/certificate was included..

Received my set from Layoyo yesterday. Two seperate packaging (one for the box and one for the posters and calender. Well wrapped without any damage and delivered within three days without customs charge. Compliments to Layoyo! And thanks for the great tips here. I had never heard from Layoyo before but will certainly order there again.

CDWOW are cheap and quick, but you may be pushing it if you expect anyone to get it to you before Christmas the bussiest time of the year.
