Sorry i have posted back earlier but have been away for the holidays...anyway received the French LE which comes packaged in a large silver cardboard box which opens up to reveal 2 discs contained within (have to say i do prefer the cover art of the French edition in relation to the Danish etc) anyway as mentioned earlier i can indeed confirm that no imposed French subtitles appear for the main feature...not had chance to check it out fully nor the supplemental material either.

There is a copy of the Korean 2-disc on Ebay. The price is currently $80.00!!! I don't understand. Why would someone pay that much for a DVD that can be bought on several websites for around $30.00??

Well I only know of one where you can get it for $30, good thing I got mine already as it shows it being out of stock now. I guess the fact that its out of print now is the reason why its so much.

I think lasersedge.com has a few still.

Wasn't it limited to 2000?

That isn't even the LE release of it is it? Not the one that comes with the box, film negs, and book. That is insane.

Ordered from the same place on 1/2, as well, and I am "awaiting info from distributor."

Oops. Never mind that. I e-mailed DVDAsian and asked if they thought there was any chance, and they said they had one more left and would send it today. I have never dealt with them before, but they have a new fan.

Yeah the Dogville SE was the first thing I ordered from them (plus Tale of Two Sisters in the same order) and it was a perfect shopping experience. I am definitely planning on dealing with them again in the very near future. Great store!

Yeah, DVDASIAN is a really good store. Ordered the Korean DVD of THE EYE from them back when it first came out. Any one who knows about that DVD knows it had major subtitle problems, so I sent it back to them and they gave me a refund ASAP.

Yeah, DVDASIAN is a really good store.
Anyone who has ever visited the actual shop might be surprised to find out that it's only a two-man operation set up in a very small backroom of an old and rather uninteresting video rental store.

That said, they offer terrific prices and even better service. Maybe that's the key to their success--they stay on top of their game by being so small and personal. They go the extra mile trying to please their customers and don't overcharge for the DVDs that they sell.

Their e-mail to me said tht was it, and they could get no more. Last I looked, pokerindustries had it in stock, but for at least $15 more. The coupon code PDCJY010315 is good for 15% off until the 12th, though.

I'm more than happy with my French edition but noticed that up until yesterday night that XploitedCinema were still selling the Korean LE.
Checking the site now seems to show that they have also sold out so certainly in this case the Korean LE is truely of a very limited nature it would seem.

Noticed they also had the Danish SE of Breaking The Waves so decided to take the plunge and order that.

Found another place from where one can order the Dogville "VERY" Limited Box Set... now, that all of the Korean online suppliers states "Sold Out."

Have just ordered it from Movietyme priced Ģ 19.99, which is about 34 US Dollars.

Better hurry, because this version actually do seem to be very limited, compared to so may other titles with that frase.

I don't think this has been pointed out yet, but the Korean LE release does NOT have the 50 min "Dogville Confessions" documentary by Sami Saif that's present on the Danish SE, even though Xploited lists it as part of the Korean set. It does have 17 min. of "Confession Booth" footage like the clips seen in the trailer, maybe that led to Xploited assuming that meant the doc was there, too. So the Danish SE has the advantage of the doc, but the screenplay included in the Korean LE is especially a bonus, as you get info about the structure of the film that wouldn't be obvious otherwise.

From what I have read of reviews about the 50 Min docu - thatīs NOT on the Korean LE - itīs not as informative as it could have been. Rahter bland, really.

I guess, itīs a matter of taste whether to pick the Danish SE or the Korean LE. Personally, Iīd rather go for the Korean LE since the two versions cost about the same, and that you get more for your money on the Korean LE version.

I like the fact that the Korean one is a true NTSC transfer.

Wow, what a movie! I haven't been able to stop thinking about it for days.

Does anyone have an actual link to a review of the Korean LE, I ordered it at DVD Asian back in the last days of december but since I'm down in Mexico it hasn't arrived yet, to be honest I can't wait.

Wow. I was at Lasers Edge just a couple days ago and they had this on the shelf for $40. The guy even tried to convince me to buy it but I had never heard of it and wanted to research it on the 'net first. Guess I should have bought it. I wonder if they still have it...
