MegaStar or Universe?
I'm working on putting together another order from DDDHouse, but can't decide between ordering the Universe or the (more expensive) MegaStar edition of certain films.
Specifically, I'm interested in:
City War
Hong Kong 1941
Prison on Fire
Prison on Fire II
Tiger on Beat
I think the MegaStars are newer, as Asian DVD Guide doesn't have reviews of them. And the reviews of the Universe editions sound pretty good in general.
So, can anyone comment on the image/sound/subtitle/etc. quality of the MegaStar editions. Or should I just go with the Universe?

Usually the Media Asia/Megastar discs are mastered a little better than the Universe discs. I think the Universe discs are sufficient though. Media Asia discs have the slight edge for their transfer, but if you want to budget, I'd say Universe. I've been pleased with most of my universe discs.

I think Megastar also tends to have more language tracks, mostly as subtitles. But nowadays plenty of Universe discs have lots of languages and extras themselves. But Megastars do tend to have better transfers.
