Wasabi- New Luc Besson film with Jean Reno

Some of you probably know this already...
But, Wasabi -starring Jean Reno and directed by Luc Besson appears to be in theaters now? (I say 'appears' because I can't read French).

Here's the official movie site: Wasabi

There are mini-trailers all over the site. You have to explore and find them all...

Looks like a comedy/drama to me... I want to see it.

Cheers,
Gabe

Looks like it could be a good action comedy.
Spoiler:
The bits with the golf club and when he's decking people look entertaining
.

I've seen this movie in theatres about a month ago. It's not bad. You might want to check it out if you like the kind of films like Taxi 1 + 2 ....

Well that sounds good to me, I loved Taxi 2. Haven't seen the first one yet though.

"...Umm, around $26... I'll have to think about that..."

...you will(?)/may(?) also have to think about the fact that the French DVD
of Wasabi carries no subtitles, in any language, not even French...

It's going to be on my next order, which may be small, cause I have been waiting to see this for a long time...

The Winson DVD is actually all-region, despite the R3 cover markings.

Got the Winson DVD and, though not anamorphic, the picture is quite nice and the DTS sounds excellent as well. The movie itself is pretty damn enjoyable, kind of a Leon-lite type feel to it, but leaning toward a more comedic side (wasn't too sure what to expect after seeing Reno punch someone in the opening club scene who literally goes flying across the room). Reno is excellent as usual and the supporting players do a fine job as well. I found the Japanese girl to be a little grating at first, but she grows on you as the film goes on. Recommended and a must-buy for Reno/Besson fans.
