I was fortunate enough to have purchased the Apex AD-800 in the US without having any prior knowledge of region codes. It and I now live in Germany ;-(). I read the article on the Apex AD-600 after the purchase, unfortnately. Since Apex hasn't responded, does anyone know how to obtain a firmware update, patch, or whatever that would enable my hardware to be region free?

Apex Firmware Tip
Hey, thanks a lot for the tip. It's a great feeling to know your not at Apex's mercy. Still, I don't know how really courageous I am! Although I've down loaded the upgrade, I'm still not convinced that the Apex AD-800 is the same as the Hiteker AD-810. Although both dvd's may contain the same dvd-cdrom (now labeled: DVD Loader, DVD-KIT300SU), there are some distinct differences. Well, the day's long!
