Perhaps a price mistake but while I was browsing some older black & white TV shows that are favorites of mine, I see that many have entire seasons priced at $9.99.
Leave It To Beaver (Season 5) was one of those but it also displayed the ENTIRE SEASON run of 39 episodes at $0.99. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...7193913&sr=8-1 Immediately did the 1-click purchase. It's mine! Amazing deal!!!  Other shows that I was browsing include Donna Reed Show, & Father Knows Best. Entire seasons of 35+ episodes are priced $9.99. Remember these are from Amazon Instant Video for the streaming and NOT the DVD disc versions. Edit: in checking my purchase invoice, I see it was INDEED charged $0.99 and it used the recent $3 Amazon Instant Video credit that I received via Twitter.  $0.00 cost to me and $2.01 credit left.Last edited by Xbox69; 05-16-12 at 01:50 PM. |

"Leave It To Beaver" and "Father Knows Best" are the ones with individual seasons at $9.99.
"The Donna Reed Show" are $22.49 for streaming the first 2 seasons but single eps. of Season One are priced at $0.49 each while season two eps. remain $1.99. Add "Dennis The Menace" as another $9.99 per season in Amazon Instant Video purchase. |

these new deals suck, although perhaps the switched from offering weekday 99c deals and 1.99 weekend deal, to the other way around.

Sad news... Looks like there might not be any rental deals this week... They seem to want to push the "own" concept... Only advertising that this week there are sales on British titles for $3.99...come on Amazon, bring back the $0.99 rentals....

Definitely disappointing, as we tend to watch more movies in the Summer. I guess Amazon recognizes that and is hoping we'll still rent at full price. Most likely, I'll utilize Red Box for the first time in a few years, or the library for the first time ever.
I won't "buy" the movies unless the price is the same as a rental. I've had Amazon licenses expire in the past. Doesn't really help to own a movie that you can no longer stream from the site. |
