What's worse is that many of us probably have the same situation going on.

Re: 20th Century Fox $75K sweepstakes

I just wish since i'm assuming it's one winner per day, that they'd announce someones already won for the day. Of course then we wouldn't visit their so called 75th anniversary sales, which i doubt any of us are doing anyways

It already is on this page. You n00bs need to change your settings.

Also, I hate this game.

Yes, I play it all the time.

You're right, we're on page 3 and it's here three times now. I was just tired of scrolling and didn't change just my copy/paste.

I hope this things ends soon, I'm tired of losing everyday.

Re: 20th Century Fox $75K sweepstakes

After not winning *again* I clicked on the "Buy Now" link just to see what titles are "discounted" and elegible for free shipping. Thought it'd be good for a minor laugh... It takes you to amazon for a Fox 75th anniversary sale. I really thought it'd take you to the fox store! Still got the minor laugh though. "Sale" is relative as the prices are only a couple of $$ off MSRP for the most part. The "Classic Quad" titles are far less expensive at Target (1st 6 @ ~$9.99 each) and Sams (non-Quad titles @ ~$10-$12/ea) if I recall correctly).

You're still on newbie page settings. Move it up to the max 40 posts per page and you'll save a lot of page loads in the future.

There a few other interesting settings, but the 40 posts thing has saved me thousands of clicks and hundreds of hours I imagine.

Re: 20th Century Fox $75K sweepstakes

I don't like having that many posts on a page. I'm on 25 per page and that seems like a lot. Most VBulletin message boards default at 15.

Just curious, but why? The only reason I can think of is if you're on dial-up. But even then, why would someone choose to have to load three pages when one would do?

Re: 20th Century Fox $75K sweepstakes

I'm not on dial-up. I really can't explain it, other than to say that having that many posts on one page seems overwhelming, I guess? I like knowing I can get through a page relatively quickly, and then switch to a different tab while the next page is loading. I don't know. I don't have a good reason.

That's cool. We all have our reasons for things. I bet I have 100 quirks that most others would never fathom. And even though this may have interested only myself, I now feel that this thread was at least useful for something!

Damn, thought we finally had a winner!

I've given up on actually taking the time to scratch off the cards. I simply click, "Click here if you can't see the card" and then double check the next screen to confirm that I've lost.

I'll be curious to see if anyone actually won anything by the time the contest ends in a few weeks!
