I would love to take advantage of the offer but I just can't seem to find any CDs that I really want to purchase.

In my opinion it's the same old "tired" BMG music catalog.

There coming soon section now mentions Tori Amos & Madeline Peyroux. I assume they're both the new ones. The current Peyroux cd is stunning imo.

I agree, I just signed up for the "no queue" offer in case the selection improves...

I really do hope the music selection improves.

But if it doesn't I will continue to shop elsewhere.

One big annoyance - there's apparently no way to save items for later anymore? I had a bunch of stuff in my cart on BMG so I could keep track of things I wanted.

I used to be able to save items in my Yourmusic cart. Doesn't that still work?

How about just writing your wishlist into Notepad?

Re: One & Only Yourmusic.com Thread I (BMG R.I.P.)

I just got an e-mail offering a free cd if I rejoin. It took me a day to even find two cds that I'd want (that I don't already have) on there!

I keep a 3x5" piece of paper and a pencil by the computer, and add titles I want when I read about them. This has replaced my queue quite effectively.

The low-tech approach. I love it!

I'm guessing that as of late your piece of paper has probably been blank.

I'm trying really hard to figure out why you're even reading this thread for a store you clearly don't care about.
Do you sit there getting feelings of dread "oooh, someone may actualy be wanting to buy CDs, I should make sure no one's hurting themselves!"

I never said I didn't care about Yourmusic, but what I did say is that I'm not currently interested in joining Yourmusic with it's current $6.99 music catalog.

I didn't realize that I shouldn't read and/or post on this thread just because I don't happen to agree with your opinion about Yourmusic.

Any other questions ?????????????

I never said you *couldn't*, I just asked *why* you feal the need to express that opinion so frequently. ("frequently" being evident by saying it 3 different times on this one page of the forum.)

Why do you seem to have a problem with my opinions and the number of times I post my opinions?

Since there are no current Bargains and Sales at Yourmusic, I thought all opinions pro and con regarding Yourmusic are acceptable.

I think you just have a big problem with people/posters who don't agree with you.

again, I never said your opinion was not acceptable. I'm wondering (and you still have not actually addressed that wondering) why you feel the need to repeat your opinion every time someone makes a new post in this thread.

ps- I do miss the old days of the full Sony catalog, too. I wouldn't say I find the site completely useless nowadays, though.

I have two items on my list, actually:

Baby Face Willette: Stop and Listen
Keith Jarrett: Treasure Island

Has anyone listened to these albums?

Re: One & Only Yourmusic.com Thread I (BMG R.I.P.)

I have Treasure Island & the Jarrett trio they just added on my list. I'm waiting for the Tori & Peyroux to hit. I have 2 accounts with 1 free cd remaining on 1 & I haven't used the 2nd yet (which also was opened with the free cd offer). I'll likely get one of the 2 Jarett's along with the Tori & peyroux for a total of $6.99.

Where the new pricing really doesn't cut it is what was BMG's strong suit, multi disc sets. I have some interest in the Sinead O'Connor 2 disc, but i can get it cheaper from Amazon 3rd party sellers then the $13.99 on YM.
