Whenever I burn a d/l disc, I make sure to have my pc doing not to much otherwise, the discs work great. Though I try to avoid Maxell blanks at all costs.

I just started using DL's and I'm kind of afraid to use anything but verbatim discs. Even verbatim is pumping out garbage discs now. I am only going to buy the premium line azo dye discs. Taiyo Yuden is always good too but only available online and expensive.

I've heard lots of reviews saying the TDK DL discs are bad/poor quality with lots of coasters so I'd rather pay double for verbatims than go through that crap. I've personally burned single layer TDK discs before and have encountered crc reading errors later on. I only burn at 2X and keep the discs clean so I know it wasn't my fault.

I found this list helpful
