Eek. Watch it with those. They're not supposed to be very good. In fact, they're supposed to be the worst.

In other news, I got my verbatim discs on monday

Has anyone tried the Office Depot branded DVD+R DL discs? They're currently on sale for $34.99 for a spindle of 25.

New place discovered.

I found this company that has a extremely low mark up on all accessories and items. They have many more items than are displayed and ship instantly.

http://www.techsourcepro.com/section...em=SMDC-G67398

I usually purchase a couple at a time to keep shipping cost low. I also stick with verbatum. The quality is said to be consistent. They have memorex which is cheaper. But not for me.

Hope this helps someone.

Do you work there?
Just curious, because the Verbatim DL discs are cheaper most places (NewEgg, SuperMediaStore, etc).

LOL- No I wish I worked somewhere to purchase these.

You are right that famous old newegg has them for a a couple dollars cheaper. I just like sites that offer google checkout. Keeps my email and personal info safe. So for me it is worth the 2 bucks.

Apparently Verbatim switched manufacturing plants from Singapore (awesome discs) to India (pure crap), making it impossible to determine what quality you'll end up with when buying online.

Is there any good brand of dual layer discs left? And at a good price?

Re: Anyone know of a deal on Dual Layer DVDR's?

I bought a 20 pack of Verbatim discs at Comp Usa for 25 bucks. Not a bad deal. First time I ever bought DL discs, I was surprised at how much they cost.

Some people have been looking for love for a whole lot longer than 5 years

No need to discourage anyone looking for good DL media deals ...

I've used a few of them and had no problems. Depends on the burner I suppose and my old NEC is about the best one ever made so I don't tend to have many problems with media.
