It's not. It's on a DVD.

And yes, I just realized I quoted you.

Yeah, guess for studios cheaper than the hinged cases (not sure if those exist in 4K UHD cases). Really hate those and even worse for TV season sets like Daredevil and Jessica Jones since I have to remove one disc to get to the next disc in the set. Here, where I'm only going to play the movie in 4K, it's not as big of a deal.

AVS has their review up. They describe this as "a beauty to behold".

Re: Blade Runner in 4K UHD - 9/5/17

Don't really care about this if the theatrical version isn't included in any quality. The HD-DVD set was great with FIVE versions altogether, but the discs containing the movies have rotted on me.

Re: Blade Runner in 4K UHD - 9/5/17

Here is a quote from the Blu-ray forum reviewer.

Quote:
Compared to the dated Blu-ray, Blade Runner's UHD presentation can't help but look better, but it's more than better—it's astonishing.
This was the one catalog title that I was hoping would show off the format. It's the same title that I felt did that for Blu-ray ten years ago.

I agree 100%. It's a true reference quality UHD.

The theatrical version is included on a Blu-ray disc (with the International and Director's Cuts). Only one not in there is the Workprint Cut.
