Days of Future Past got a double dip, but we all knew it was coming months in advance because we knew about the extra Rogue footage.

I guess I don't really understand the appeal of the noir version personally. I guess its nice that the option is there for those interested but I'd prefer to see it how I did in the theater.

Yeah, I like glorious color. I mean this was a drab movie, but I don't think it's going to be made better b/w. This is a modern movie. Future even, just not necessary. I have, but yet to see Fury Road b/w, but that at least kinda makes sense. I guess nice to have, but no real interest in seeing Logan in b/w...

The tone was drab but I felt like the colors worked for this film. They worked with the gritty western feel. It seems to me like the black and white will detract a bit from the film but I guess whatever. At least it's just a bonus edition that's optional to watch.

I tried to preorder this on Target.com and it wanted a $4 delivery charge which I didn't have when I ordered Rogue One. And it wouldn't let me order for store pickup. Do they have a minimum amount for free delivery?

If you have a Redcard, it's always been free shipping. I just cancelled and replaced a new order to lock the $24.99 price.
I had forgotten that I applied a physical gift card which was thrown away after I ordered and I panicked a little, but luckily the money was put back into my Target account, and I was able to select it again from a pull down menu during payment options.

Here in Canada, the only choice for the steelbook at Best Buy is the Blu-ray version. It was very hard but I passed on it and is now sold out. I'm getting the 4K release.

Remember that you can still return any part of any order and still not pay shipping. So if you bought two copies and returned one back to the store, that would work as well

For the Target gift card, is it a physical one if you have one shipped to you versus selecting the email delivery option? I'd rather have a physical one to use in store since I rarely order stuff from Target's website.

Nope it's emailed. Actually they used to offer a physical card when you place your order , but they didn't for me with Logan. But you can print it out and use it in-store

I'm not aware of there being a physical card option when it comes to these pre-order deals that include a gift card. That being said, it's always possible to print the email or write down the two key numbers from the digital gift card and use it in store.

But if I can use it in store regardless that's fine. Thanks! Looks like i'll go this route to get the 4K version.

* $4 shipping charge when I first add it to my cart
* Shipping is free once I login
So, I think once you login, you'll be okay.

^Do you have a redcard? Shipping is free for any size order if you use a redcard.

I guess that could be considered misleading, but they no longer mail actual gift cards as part of those deals. They used to, but that completely stopped many months ago. Personally I like the new digital only option. I always figure gift cards are easily identified and could possibly "get lost" in the mail.

You can just have the GC emailed to you, pull it up on your phone and have the cashier scan it on your next visit to Target. I've done it a few times with no problem.

I have no idea how long ago, but I remember having two Target of these pre-orders in queue that included me being sent $5 gift cards when the blu-rays finally shipped. But before the actual release week of the blu-ray the gift card portion of the order was cancelled and eventually I was sent digital gift cards via email. I have taken advantage of at least a twenty of these gift card pre-orders since and have never been sent a physical gift card. And as I posted earlier, I have considered that an improvement. The digital process is far more efficient and safe.
