anyone have anything more definitive? i know it is still in theaters, but an announcement should have been made, no?

I got a email that said the Target exclusive (Whatever that is) will be available on April 25
Not sure if that is accurate or subject to change.

It would be amusing if they had decided to wait until after the Oscars to do like a Commentary track or do a "La La Land invades awards season" doc and then cover all the madness of the end

Most commentary tracks these days (unless its a catalog re-release) are recorded before the movie even hits theaters - which I kind of hate, because it leads to tracks that don't have any response to the box office/critical reaction. Just a lot of self-congratulatory comments where the creators don't see the flaws.

Funny how this movie has so many store exclusives when it was not a big tentpole movie or summer blockbuster.

I pre-ordered this back during the Target sale, way before they were offering the $5 gift card. I hardly ever order from there. Anyone ever have any luck getting one added after already placing the order?

Not a chance. But it's easy to cancel and re-order if the gift card option will be less than your total when that sale was going.

Nope. I ran into the same issue with another movie and they said since it was part of another promotion that they could do one or another, but not both.

I pre-ordered the 3-disc BD Target exclusive with the $5 GC.
Used my $5 GC that was sent to me today for pre-ordering Rogue One. Came out to $15 and change.
Not bad. I know there is a 4K UHD, but in this case, I'd rather go with the cheaper exclusive and I doubt this movie will look that much better for the $8-9 more for the UHD.

I went the other way and picked up the UHD from one of the previous Target sales and just pre-ordered it. Going blind on this one, but friends and family have all liked it, so I'm feeling certain that I'll like it as well. And these days I find myself choosing Atmos/DTS:X sound and 4K picture over extras, which is a big departure from my early blu collecting days. Of course the 4K option didn't exist back then.

I'm getting the UHD as well.
That said, imdb shows that the digital intermediate is only 2K, despite the whole film being shot on 35mm (with one scene on 16mm).
A little disappointing, but not a deal breaker.
I have a feeling that folks at home are going to hate the 2.55:1 aspect ratio.
