I think I can safely pass on the Target exclusive. The extras sound like something I'd watch once or never so just doesn't seem necessary. I didn't like their packaging for The Force Awakens either and this looks the same.

Cool in concept, but the cards tend to fall out of the slipcover.

^ I ended up just keeping the cards shrinkwrapped. The front side is Kirk and the backside is Spock. Those are the only two I'd care to have as the cover anyway and it prevents the cards from falling out everywhere.

Still a sloppy idea though.

Interesting. Mine came with Jaylah on the top and kept them sealed for the same reason.

Now that Amazon charges sales tax and usually has the same price as Walmart/target, I just buy new release dvds in the store.

It is weird though that they don't have a page up yet for it.

I will probably just get the regular edition...the store exclusives never seem worth the extra money.

Got the SteelBook over Target bonus. BB has been having some good prices on SteelBooks lately. The Logan and La La Land ones are great.

So I guess I'm getting both Target and SteelBook. Tried to cancel Target to get book, but it was preshipping and too late and it shipped today. I know I can easily return, but it's a pain in the ass. We'll see.
What's on the bonus disc again and how long? Bluray or DVD disc?

You know what? Fuck the SteelBook. I just looked at that cover art and it really is terrible. Target is actually decent artwork and bonus content. I don't have a TFA SteelBook so no continuity issues. Plus, the $5 gc. Canceled.

I see Best Buy has the regular edition blu ray for $19.99. Guess I will have my target price match it since they haven't lowered their price.

And if it's like Doctor Strange, it'll probably be backordered on day 1. I might just say F it and drive to the shopping complex that has both Target and Best Buy. It's annoying to drive and park there so I usually avoid it.
